Synopsis:
In London in 1837 Swiss governess, Elisabeth Laurier (SOPHIE MARCEAU), reluctantly accepts a financial proposition from an English aristocrat (STEPHEN DILLANE) in order to release her father from debt. The man insists on concealing his identity from her. Elisabeth travels to hotel in Normandy where, in utmost secrecy, the man joins her and they spend three nights into a revelatory experience for both of them. But their new found passion for each other must be suppressed. The aristocrat in insistent they never meet again.
